News

3,893 visitors signed the logs in 2004 with these numbers increasing to nearly 5,000 “sign ins” in 2005 and nearly 6,000 visitors in 2006.  129 groups and well over 19 non-profits participate at no cost – over 2,000 grade schoolers and children of all ages participated in our 3rd annual “Railroad Christmas” with spectacular model train displays, carolers and a train safety instructor provided by DelDot.  Our regular school program in cooperation with the local schools has now expanded to include a spring semester. Queries have been coming in regularly from other Sussex County schools and plans are being readied to expand this program to include a spring semester and even more in 2008.  Also we should note the  Delaware Seaside Model Train Club will be permanently set up on the Train Station’s second floor and will be available to the public the first and third Saturdays each month.
